DoremiSoft MPG to FLV Converter is a free video converter. It can be used to convert MPG files to flash video files (FLV). The converter is extremely basic. It consists of a single screen, where you select the file that you want to convert, the name and path for the converted file, and a conversion format. The only supported format for video is FLV, but you can also save files to MP3, which will discard the video track of your MPG file and save the audio track as an MP3 file. You can then use any player to listen to that MP3 file.
When you start a conversion task, a new window will pop-up. This will show the video file that you are converting, but it won't play it in real-time, it shows frames as the converter processes them. In terms of performance, DoremiSoft MPG to FLV Converter seemed very fast to me. I was able to convert a 10 megabyte MPG file to FLV in less than ten seconds. Although the quality of the video file wasn't the greatest, I didn't notice any problems other than some pixelation. Audio quality was very good.
